How?
I recently received the advice to do less “over thinking” and experience more in the now.
I ultimately agree with the core sentiment of such advice, but my question is how?
How does one think less and experience more?My mind is always occupied with so many thoughts- opinions, observations, attractions, repulsions, plans, goals, dreams, ideas, inspirations, and registrations of feelings like ‘hungry” or “sad”. Also, the idea is not that I do not enjoy the present at all, but rather that I could open myself to appreciate it more; but is that actually the case or is that in and of itself just me “over thinking”? Could I be experiencing and appreciating things in the present just as much as everyone else, but in a different way? Another thing is that sometimes my thoughts are focused on experiencing something in the now, and ironically detract from my experiencing something at that moment.
Blah, I feel this is possibly losing coherence.
There are snicker doodles and I love food.
